Function documentation Two Digits Account Balance Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

In Portugal, all businesses need to draw up a two digits account balance (Balancete a Dois Dígitos) to compare their general ledger account balances. This balance sheet is part of the end-of-year closing.

You can use the report ion Totals and Balances to create your two digits account balance, in accordance with Portuguese legislation. It summarizes the general ledger, whereby debit amounts should equal credit amounts, and both debits and credits should correspond to the general ledger figures. If the report highlights any discrepancies between the debit and credit amounts, you know that an error has occurred and that you should check the corresponding postings.

In general, companies run the report on a monthly basis for internal purposes, but it is also possible to run it according to your own requirements.
