Translating Texts 

Use

You use this procedure to translate short texts and the long texts they belong to in a recipe and the text on the  Long Texts tab page.

Prerequisites

Prerequisite for the long text on the tab page: You have specified whether text formats are permitted in long texts for a certain specification category in Customizing for Recipes in the activity Define Properties for Specification Category.

If text formats are not permitted, you can enter the long text straight onto the relevant tab page.

If text formats are permitted, you can only enter the long text straight onto the tab page if no formats already exist in the relevant long text. If formats do exist, edit the long text in the SAPscript editor in full screen mode. This is the default setting.

Procedure

Translating Short Texts

...

       1.      Choose  with the quick info Translate Description next to the text field or in the toolbar

       2.      Choose the language key of the target language

       3.      Translate the text

       4.      Confirm your entries

Translating Long Texts

...

       1.      Choose  with the quick info Translate Long Text.

       2.      Choose  with the quick info Translate to New Language and select the language you want to use.

       3.      Choose  with the quick info Change.

The text editor appears.

       4.      Enter the translation and save it.

       5.      You can switch between the languages that are available under Target Lang.

Releasing Texts

...

       1.      Choose the  Translation Status tab page.

       2.      Choose the languages you want to release and select the Release indicator. By doing so, you confirm that the translation is complete.
