Introduction 

INAB represents the SAP R/3 standard solution for processing and valuating absences in the Italian payroll. It is mainly addressed to those users who have technical responsibility in setting parameters.

The content of this documentation is based on the version 4.6C but in its fundamental parts it can also be applied to enhanced releases.

This solution is a SAP standard product. It is supported starting from the version 4.6C of the R/3 system and for all enhanced releases.

The most relevant SAP note describing the correct procedure for installing this new solution is the note no 386736.

New implementations or productive upgrades after 31.03.2004 will necessarily require the implementation of XNAB.

The SAP note no 715581 contains information about the release strategy of the solution XNAB and provides support to the previous INAB solution, which is still delivered for some releases.

Data consistent with the master data (no info-type 0407 – Absences – Additional information).

Absence saving in the cluster of the payroll results in the international standard table “COVER“ (no “INPS“).
