Definition

Means of transport is a category of vehicle used for transport.

 

Use

Means of transport is implemented in the system as a packaging material category for a handling unit (vehicle category).

Recommendation

We recommend that you create means of transport for the following:

·        A vehicle whereby the materials are contained in a non-detachable container

·        A vehicle that pulls detachable transport equipment, such as a trailer, in a situation whereby you want to track both the pulling vehicle and the transport equipment in the yard.
