Purpose

You use this component to enter and edit dangerous goods master records.

Integration

To use the dangerous goods master, you will require the following SAP components:

·        Materials Management (MM)

·        Dangerous Goods Management (EHS-DGP)

Note

If you want to use dangerous goods basic data, you will require the EH&S component Basic Data and Tools (EHS-BD).

Features

To use the components of Dangerous Goods Management, the system requires data from the material master, engineering change management, and phrase management.

As the dangerous goods master is an enhancement for the material master, you create dangerous goods master records for materials that already exist there. The dangerous goods master contains the data required to perform dangerous goods checks and generate dangerous goods documents according to the respective dangerous goods regulations.

From the dangerous goods master data component, you can:

·        Use engineering change management functions

Choose Environment ® Change Master in the display or change mode of the dangerous goods master to access the function.

·        Use Structure linkphrase management functions

Choose Environment ® Phrase in the display or change mode of the dangerous goods master to access the function.

Note

In order to be able to edit phrase-enabled fields in the dangerous goods master, you must have activated phrasing beforehand.

·        Change to the specification workbench

Choose Environment ® Product Safety in the display or change mode of the dangerous goods master to access the function.

·        Display change documents

Choose Environment ® Change Documents in the display or change mode of the dangerous goods master to access the function.

Note

As standard, change document creation is activated, but it can be deactivated in Customizing in the IMG activity Develop Enhancement for Writing Change Documents.
