Incident/Accident Management
(EHS-IHS-IA)
This component supports you with the recording and processing of work-related events. It allows you to comply with the requirements of national and international law. The term “event” refers to everything you are required to record or wish to record: ranging from personal injuries and damage to property to accidents and near misses.
In more detail, incident/accident management provides the following possibilities:
· Recording and editing of all relevant event data in an incident/accident log
· Automatic transfer of data from the injury/illness log to the incident/accident log
· Creating, shipping, and archiving of the reports prescribed by legislation using the SAP system (for example, OSHA accident reports in accordance with U.S. law)
· Evaluation of the incident/accident log
You can evaluate the data in the incident/accident log using the reporting (EHS-IHS-REP) component. For example, you can determine the 1000-employee quota or the 1,000,000-hour quota.
· Planning and tracking of industrial hygiene and safety measures such as maintenance tasks
· Data protection
Incident/accident log entries can be displayed and edited only with the appropriate authorization. The authorization is checked by the authorization object C_EHSI_IAL. The check includes the incident/accident log entry type, the plant, and the activity.
