Procedure documentationDisplaying the Succession Overview for an Organizational Unit Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Procedure

  1. Choose Human resources ® Personnel management ® Personnel development ® Information system ® Reports ® Organizational unit ® Succession overview.
  2. The Succession Overview screen appears.

  3. Enter the name or ID of the organizational unit in question.
  4. To determine the suitability of potential successors, select the Suitability analysis flag.
  5. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  6. The Planning Criteria dialog box appears.

  7. Select the criteria you want, and choose Transfer.
  8. The Succession Overview screen appears. The number of potential successors defined for each position is displayed. The information displayed is broken down by planning criterion.

Profile of a position

Position your cursor on the position in question, and choose Goto ® Profile.

 

Succession planning scenario for a position

Position your cursor on the entry you want in the Object name column, and double-click to open the profile. Choose Goto ® Succession planning.

 

Hitlist for a position (for all planning criteria, or for an individual planning criterion)

Position your cursor on the entry and column in question, and double-click to open the list.

From this hitlist, you can access the profile of every potential successor that appears in the list by double-clicking.

Result

The system displays an overview of the succession scenarios defined for every position within the organizational unit specified.
