This documentation provides a conceptual overview of how to integrate Consolidation with other SAP modules, and informs you:

• Which requirements for corporate group reporting can be met

• Which preparatory measures you should take in the applications that transmit reporting data

• Which interfaces to use for transferring data

These are the prerequisites for starting an implementation. The Implementation Guide (IMG) explains the individual steps for setting up the system and these are therefore not described in this documentation. The Implementation Guide does, however, contain references to this documentation.

The preparations described here are, in principle, also suited to an ‘external’ consolidation procedure (program). The data transfer interfaces have been documented keeping external systems in mind. Considering the on-going improvements and development being made to the interfaces, we can only guarantee upward compatibility for SAP’s consolidation applications EC-CS and FI-LC.

The material information in this documentation applies to both the EC-CS Consolidation component and the FI-LC Legal Consolidation component. You are notified when exceptions apply.
