Specifying Key Dates and Change Numbers
You use this procedure to specify the key date and the change number in the initial screen of the recipe workbench for the recipe workbench objects that are specifications. These are:
● Recipes
● Formulas
● Substances
● Packagings
● Process elements
● Equipment requirements
If you want to specify a change number, you must have created it in Engineering Change Management.
...
1. Call the recipe workbench.
2.
Choose
with the quick info text Change Key Date
below
the recipe workbench toolbar by double-clicking it.
The Global Parameters dialog box appears.
3. Enter the required data and confirm your entries. If you enter a change number, the system uses the valid-from date of the change number as the key date. This overwrites a key date that has been entered manually.
A dialog box appears that displays the data that was specified.
4. Confirm your entries.
The key date and the change number apply to all objects described under Use. This means the system displays all specifications for the key date that was entered, and makes all changes to the specifications in the change state whose validity period contains the key date. If you enter a change number, the system makes the changes with the change number that was entered. Your settings apply until you leave the recipe workbench again. If you set the Keep Setting indicator, your settings will remain even when you call the recipe workbench again and they remain so until you specify another setting.
