Definition

In the Netherlands no bank key is used to uniquely identify banks. Instead, a distinction is made between bank types (Bank and Postbank), which you have to enter as the bank key.

If you have chosen the Netherlands as the bank country, the bank account number is checked. Additionally, the following checks are performed, depending on the bank type:

·        Bank key B: the bank account number has 10 positions and must comply with the elfproef (eleven test).

·        Bank key  P: the bank account number has seven positions.

Bank countries and currency are automatically suggested on the basis of the information stored on infotype Organizational Assignment (0001) but can be overwritten.
