Termination of Contract Infotype (0551) 

Definition

In this infotype you enter all the data relevant to the expiration of the work contract. This infotype is included in the personnel action Termination of Contract.

The data in this infotype is necessary to calculate the severance pay. Therefore, if you do not enter the data in this infotype the system will cancel the final employee payroll run.

Structure

In this infotype you register the following information:

●     Termination of Contract Type: The termination of contract type is a subtype of this infotype and shows the cause for the contract termination. This data is important for specifying the severance pay that has to be paid.

●     Notice: This information determines whether or not the system calculates the severance pay by notice.

●     Calculated seniority: This information shows the seniority calculated by the system according to the employee entry date or data from the Date Specifications infotype (0041) if it exists. You enter this seniority in years, months and/or days.

●     Entered seniority: The user can enter this information if he whishes to take into account an employee seniority different to the seniority calculated by the system.

●     Work regime:  Before validity of law 25.877, using two radio buttons, you can enter the law governing the calculation of employee severance pay. Since this law has come into force, this selection is not considered.

●     Employee grouping for calculating severance pay: This information lets you group employees for calculating their severance pay.

●     Severance to pay: In this section of the screen you display and/or enter data relevant to the desired severance pay.

●     Off-cycle data: Data that has been stored for the employee in case the severance pay has been calculated by the off-cycle payroll (Off-cycle payroll run report: Leaving employees – HARCTER0).

●     Pushbuttons

○     Severance pay proposals: Using this pushbutton you can obtain a severance pay proposal for the employee. The system calculates this proposal according to the employee data already entered in the system and the data already entered for this infotype. For example, termination of contract type, contract type, seniority, etc.

○     Set seniority: Using this pushbutton you can adopt the seniority data proposed by the system.

○     Set amount: Using this pushbutton you can adopt the amounts corresponding to the severance pay calculated by the system.

○     Simulation: Using this pushbutton you can run a simulation of the severance pay calculation shown in this infotype.
