Global Commuting Types (0708)
In this infotype, you store all the tax-relevant absence types.
This infotype enables you to specify the absence types that have to be taken into account for tax purposes during the global assignment.
The infotype is split into a single section described below that enables you to:
· Specify the duration.
· Select the commuting type and the country it is valid for.
· Determine whether it is tax-relevant or not.
You must have maintained the following infotypes by means of the relevant personnel action:
· Global Assignment Details (0710)
· Global Assignment Status (0715)
The fields of this infotype can be entirely customized to meet your company-specific needs. For more information, see the IMG activity Define Commuting Types under the section Assignment Master Data.
In the United States, assignees who work more than 183 days are legally obliged to report their worldwide income and have it taxed in the United States if they have exceeded the above-mentioned limit. It is up to the processor to decide whether or not a commuting type must be considered as tax-relevant.
