Defining CO Versions and Activating Integrated Planning 

Use

You define in which CO versions the work values, contract values, and planning data are to be updated for the remaining plan.

The planned revenues for the contract values cannot be updated in the same CO version as the remaining plan.

Once the application is in active use, you can change these basic settings only after checking with your SAP consultant.

You must also activate integrated planning. This setting is required to be able to update planning data as CO line items.

Procedure

        1.      Create the CO versions in Customizing for Controlling under Controlling ® General Controlling ® Organization ® Maintain Versions.

        2.      Define the CO versions subject to the controlling area in Customizing for Project System under Revenues and Earnings ® Automatic and Periodic Allocations ® Construction Progress Report and Valuation.

¡        In the IMG activity Assign CO Version for Work Values you define the CO version in which the work values are to be updated as statistical actual revenues.

¡        In IMG activity Assign CO Version for Contract Values you define the CO version in which the contract values are to be updated as statistical actual revenues.

¡        In IMG activity Assign CO Version for Planned Costs and Planned Revenues, you define the CO version in which the contract values are to be updated as statistical actual revenues.

        3.      Activate integrated planning for the CO versions and the project profile.

This enables construction progress report data to be updated as line items and not just as summarized values. The construction progress report date can be forwarded as line items to Joint Venture Accounting (JVA).

¡        For the CO version set the Integrated Planning indicator in Customizing for Controlling under General Controlling ® Organization ® Maintain Versions in the detail view Settings for Fiscal Year.

¡        To set the Integrated Planning indicator for the Project Profile, go to Customizing for Project System under Revenue and Earnings ® Planned Revenues ® Manual Revenue Planning ® Activate WBS Element Plan Integration.
