Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Statement 

Use

In Portugal, all businesses must provide the authorities with a balance sheet and profit and loss statement in the form of appendix A of the annual declaration (Elementos contabilísticos e fiscais).

To create the Portuguese balance sheet and profit and loss statement, you use forms 0PT-ACTIV-01, 0PT-PASSI-01and 0PT-RESUL-01 in the Report Painter. You can use the Balance Sheet/P+L Statement program to validate the values from these forms.

Forms 0PT-ACTIV-01, 0PT-PASSI-01and 0PT-RESUL-01 are templates based on the standard SAP chart of accounts for Portugal (CAPT) and a standard financial statement version (BAPT). Therefore, you must adjust the templates to your specific chart of accounts and financial statement version.

Activities

To create your own balance sheet and income statement forms:

       1.      Create a copy of financial statement version BAPT. You base the copy on your valid chart of accounts and adjust the structure according to your requirements. To do this, in Customizing for Financial Accounting, choose General Ledger Accounting ® Business Transactions ® Closing  ® Documenting  ® Define Financial Statement Versions.

       2.      Import forms 0PT-ACTIV-01, 0PT-PASSI-01and 0PT-RESUL-01 from client 000 to your development client. To do this, in Customizing for Financial Accounting, choose General Ledger Accounting ® Information System ® Drilldown Reports (G/L Accounts)  ® Form ® Import Form from Client 000.

       3.      Copy the forms to create your own balance sheet forms by adjusting them to your own company, your chart of account, and your financial statement version. To do this, in Customizing for Financial Accounting, choose General Ledger Accounting  ® Information System  ® Drilldown Reports (G/L Accounts) ® Form   ® Define Form.

       4.      Create a report for your balance sheet forms.

       5.      If necessary, include the new form and report in the reporting tree.
