Additionals: Assignment to Master
Data
For the system to take additionals into account when ordering or selling merchandise, you have to assign the additional to the article concerned.
You can assign an additional to an article in the following master data:
· Article master
· Promotion
In this case, you make long-term assignments to an article. When you maintain an article, you can branch to a special screen where you can enter several additionals as well as the control data (such as the procedure for additionals) and several lines of text for each one.
You can enter additional information for the use of additionals in promotions, thus specifying, for example, that a particular additional is only used in connection with promotions.
You can assign additionals to several articles at the same time or delete the assignment of an additional to several articles at the same time. The system also generates change documents and pointers for the article changes. You process the assignments either via the additionals menu (Mass maintenance ® Additionals/articles) or via the transaction WTAD_VKHM_MAINTAIN.If the articles were not created using SAP Retail article maintenance (but in an SAP manufacturing system, for instance), you can assign additionals via the mass maintenance function only.

This functions makes it easier for you to map situations where, for example, a number of articles previously assigned a small shelf-edge label are now to be assigned a larger shelf-edge label. In this case, you would proceed as follows:
· You select the articles affected and delete the assignment to the old additional (the small label).
· You then select the same articles and assign them the new additional (the larger label).
In this case, you assign the additionals to one promotional article. In subsequent processing, all the articles involved in the promotion are displayed. You can branch to a special screen where you can enter several additionals for each article on promotion. The data you enter for each additional is the same as that described for standard article maintenance.
