Tremcard Processing
Tremcards (TRansport EMergency Cards) are written instructions for drivers of vehicles, ships’ captains, and rail personnel. They are intended:
· Primarily so that drivers and crew can take the correct emergency actions
· Secondarily so that the police, firefighters, and other emergency services can prevent accidents resulting
In accordance with the different mode-of-transport categories, the tremcard can contain specific instructions for actions to be taken to prevent or minimize hazards.
The following components are used for tremcard processing:
·
Specification
management (EHS-BD-SPE)
·
Phrase management
(EHS-BD-PHR)
·
Specification
information system (EHS-BD-SIS)
·
Report definition
(EHS-BD-RDF)
·
Report management
(EHS-SAF-REP)
·
Report shipping
(EHS-SAF-RSH)
·
Report information
system (EHS-SAF-RIS)
· You have edited the necessary IMG activities in Customizing for Product Safety, particularly the IMG activities under Tremcard/Sales and Distribution Interface.
·
You have installed
WWI (Windows
Wordprocessor Integration).
Of particular interest for processing in the SAP system are the ADR tremcard (road transport) and the ADNR tremcard (inland waterway transport).

Tremcards for rail transport are provided by the rail operator. Where the rail operator has not provided its own tremcards, the sender must include an appropriate tremcard for road transport. This case is supported by the system. See also Outputting Tremcards.
In the United States, instead of a tremcard, a material safety data sheet or emergency response guide is often used.
The tremcard in the EH&S standard system is structured as follows:
· Load (UN number, and so on)
· Properties of the goods in the load
· Nature of danger
· Personal protective equipment
· General actions to be taken by the driver
· Additional and/or special actions to be taken by the driver
· Fire (information for the driver in case of fire)
· First aid
· Additional information (such as telephone number for inquiries)
The layout of tremcards for inland waterway transport (ADNR) corresponds to a large degree to the layout of tremcards for road transport. The value assignments (phrases) can vary from those in the road tremcards.
The system supports the processing of single and group tremcards.
Report Templates
Two report templates are delivered – one each for ADR and ADNR. Both single and group tremcards use the same report template.
Tremcard Phrases
In the standard system only those phrases are delivered that are required for the headers in the report template.
Importing Tremcards
You can also import tremcards from external systems as inbound reports. For the inbound report files, key files must be available via which the SAP system can determine the relevant specification, language, and generation variant. The import date is used as the key date.
Content Providing
The system supports external tremcard solutions with the following parameters:
· UN number |
DGNU |
THME_DGNU |
