Use

You can run profile matchups for any combination of planning objects, or more specifically for persons and the positions they hold (or for positions and the persons who hold these positions).

You can also run a profile matchup for all the employees in an organizational unit and the positions they hold. For more information, see Matching Up Positions With Their Holders for an Organizational Unit

Procedure

To perform a profile matchup, proceed as follows:

Profile matchup for any combination of objects

Profile matchup for current position/current holder

    1. Choose Human resources ® Personnel management ® Personnel development ® Information system ® Profile matchup.

      2. The Profile Matchup screen appears.

      Note

      In the table on the left, enter objects with qualifications.

      In the table on the right, enter objects with requirements.

    2. Select the objects you want to compare.
    3. If required, change the key date for the evaluation.
    4. To display the training courses proposed for any qualification deficits that might arise, select the Generate training proposals flag.
    5. If you want the list to include only qualification deficits, select the Qualification deficits only flag.
    6. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
    1. Call up the profile for a person or user, or for a position. See Displaying a Profile
    2. Choose Goto ® Profile matchup ® Current position or Current holder.

The Profile Matchup screen appears. The requirements and qualification are compared against each other. If essential requirements and/or alternative qualifications are taken into account in the matchup, they are identified as such.
  1. To change the selection options for qualification deficits and training proposals, choose Settings ® Editing options.
  2. To display the profile matchup in graphic form, choose Goto ® Graphic.
  3. There are other options available for displaying the profile matchup. You can call these up as follows:

Result

All requirements and qualifications of the selected objects are compared against each other.
