Use
You can use the Potentials subprofile to forecast the suitability of planning objects (such as persons), and their potential for and direction of development. Potentials can be taken into account in career and succession planning scenarios.

One of the clerks in your personnel department obtains ‘personnel management’ qualifications. Presumably, she will attend further training events and eventually have the qualifications required for the position of Department Manager. The potential for the position Manager of Personnel Dept. is assigned to her.
Structure
The object type and name are displayed for every relationship.
You can specify a validity period for every potential.
You can enter comments (notes) for every potential, and for the entire Potentials subprofile.
Integration
You can also define a Potentials subprofile for object types other than those for which standard settings have been made. For further information about defining profiles, refer to the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Personnel Development under Functions
® Define profile view.
