Use

In various processes in detail engineering, you need to extend or change the data of an iPPE object from product structures and engineering structures.

Once the employee has finished processing, he or she sends the project manager or other employees a mail, with a link to the iPPE object that has been processed.

Procedure

You are displaying the object-specific page of the iPPE object for which you want to send information.

  1. In the toolbar, choose Mail.

    2. The Mail screen area is displayed.

  2. Enter the following data in this form:

Enter a recipient that can be reached by the mail service. This can be a mail address, or a user name where a mail address is maintained in the user master record.
You can search for a recipient generically, by choosing the Input Help. You see a hit list. Click on the user name, and the user name is copied to the form.
  1. Choose Send.

The system automatically generates a link to the iPPE object that you are currently processing.
