Definition

Loading/unloading is a yard activity created in the system to track the progress of the loading/unloading of goods in to/from a vehicle.

Use

The start and finish of loading and unloading activities can be registered by the following users:

·        Yard managers via the yard monitor (finish loading only). For more information, see:

¡        Loading a Vehicle

¡        Unloading a Vehicle

·        Desktop users via the loading/unloading point tool. For more information, see Using the Loading/Unloading Point Tool.

·        RF users. For more information, see Loading or Unloading a Vehicle.

You can register the loading or unloading of a vehicle, or only of selected deliveries of the vehicle.

When you register the start of loading/unloading, a loading/unloading activity is created with the status of 2 Started.

When you register the end of loading/unloading of a vehicle, the status of the loading activity changes to 4 Completed, and the stock status of the vehicle changes from:

·        1 Empty  to 3 Full in the case of loading

·        3 Full to 1 Empty in the case of unloading

When you register the end of loading of some of the deliveries, the stock status of the vehicle changes from 1 Empty  to 2 Partially full, or to 3 Full, depending on whether or not you indicate that the remaining deliveries are to be loaded at a later time.

When you register the end of unloading of some of the deliveries, the stock status of the vehicle changes from 3 Full to 2 Partially full.

After a loading or unloading activity for a vehicle is completed, the vehicle can be moved from the door.
