Time Wage Type Selection for Concurrent
Employment
You can use this function to determine automatically, on the basis of concurrently employed persons’ time data, their hourly wage, overtime bonuses, and bonuses for work on a public holiday or at night.
· You use the GWT function in Time Evaluation or Time Data Processing in Payroll to evaluate your employees’ time wage types.
· The time wage type selection rules that are potentially to be processed simultaneously over several personnel assignments are identical in content. For more information, see the Implementation Guide:
¡ For Personnel Time Management: Time Evaluation ® Concurrent Employment in Time Evaluation ® Check Rules for Determining Output Data ® Check Time Wage Type Selection Rules.
¡ For Payroll: <Payroll Country XX> ® Day Processing of Time Data ® Concurrent Employment in Day Processing of Time Data ® Check Rules for Determining Output Data ® Check Time Wage Type Selection Rules.
You can use the GWT function in day processing in time evaluation or the time data processing part of payroll to select time wage types; you can use time data from several of an employee’s personnel assignments as the basis for the selection.
the system uses the entries in the parameters of the GWT function that you made in the step of the business rule in Customizing to determine all time wage type selection rules that are relevant for the business subject.
the system creates
a joint TIP table for all personnel assignments being processed. If the
step of the business rule specifies that personnel assignments have to
be processed jointly, the system enters all TIP entries of personnel
assignments being processed jointly into a copy of the TIP table. The system
sorts this TIP table in ascending order according to the clock times. If you
do not record clock times, it sorts the TIP table according to the origin
indicator (see also
The Internal Table
TIP).
If several personnel assignments are to be processed jointly, the system checks whether the selected time wage type selection rules are identical in content. The system checks whether the time wage type selection rules apply for each TIP entry. If they do, it enters the selected wage type in the internal tables DZL/ZML of the processed personnel assignments, according to the specified distribution method.
the system logs whether the conditions were met for each TIP entry processed and whether a wage type was selected. You can view the result in the time evaluation log.
If you do not enter a distribution method, the system writes the selected wage types to the personnel assignments for which the wage type was determined.
