Definition of the Supply Area 

Use

You use this function to define the supply areas that you need for kanban.

Features

To define the supply area, you can choose between the following transactions:

●     Maintain Supply Area (transaction code PK05)

●     Fast Entry Supply Area(transaction code PK05S)

Activities

To create a new supply area, enter the following data for each plant:

...

●     Name and short description of the supply area

●     Storage location to which the supply area is assigned. The goods movement postings for the kanban material take place in this storage location.

●     Person responsible for production

In the kanban application, you have to enter the person responsible when creating a supply area. The person responsible is not a required entry, since you can create supply areas in Warehouse Management using the same transaction without having to enter the person responsible.

●     Unloading point

The unloading point is printed on the kanban card or even transferred to the summarized JIT call.
