Functions
The custom subassignment are taken into account in almost all of the functions of Consolidation. An overview is given below, for more information see the SAP Library for each consolidation function.
With all data collection methods you can transfer the reported data with details to the custom subassignments. You carry out the corresponding enhancements in the settings of methods in Customizing.
You can post currency translation differences or rounding differences with custom subassignments. You control this with the breakdown category of the differential item.
You can define validation rules, which take custom subassignments into account.
You can use custom subassignments both with the sets to be eliminated and with the differential items.
You can use custom subassignments both with the triggering account assignments and with the source and target account assignments.
If the system is to read the inventory data from the summary database, then you have to define the product group as a subassignment.
The system posts the elimination of interunit profit and loss with the subassignment which you have entered in Customizing with the posting item.
If in the message of inventory data, subassignments are given as well, then the system can not prove the intercompany profit per value of this subassignment.
The system can only post the custom subassignments to the special posting items.
With the following functions, the system posts the custom subassignments without having to carry out special settings to do this.
● Determination of the contra item and calculation of the retained earnings or annual net income.
● Apportionment
● Preparation for consolidation group changes
● Carrying forward of balances
In active excel, research, report writer and line item reports, as well as in database listing, the system treats the custom subassignments exactly like the standard subassignments.
In addition to that the hierarchies to the subassignments can be displayed in active excel and research reports.
