Sickness Certificates A Infotype (0056)

Definition

In Sickness Certs A infotype (0056) you record and print all types of sickness certificates (for general practitioners, specialists, dentists, and vacation) for your employees and their family members.

For each quarter you can record up to 15 sickness certificates for each employee/family member. In the infotype you can display and edit the sickness certificate that has been recorded and printed for an employee/family member in a certain quarter. This means that the display is limited to the data for the individual person.

Some employee groups are required to pay a fee for sickness certificates issued for general practitioners, specialists, and dentists. If you record a sickness certificate for a person who is not required to pay this fee, enter the reason for this exemption in the Exemption field. If an exemption reason is listed, during the payroll run, the system does not deduct a fee for the sickness certificate from the employee’s earnings. Vacation sickness certificates and duplicates do not require fees.

If you want to create a duplicate for the sickness certificate, activate the Dp field (Duplicate indicator).

With the address type that you enter in the Ad field, you refer to the address that is stored in the Addresses infotype (0006).

Caution If you want to create a sickness certificate for the primarily insured person, the following prerequisites must be filled:

Personal Data infotype (0002) exists for the primarily insured person in the specified validity period.

In Social Insurance A infotype (0044) the insured person’s social insurance number has been entered and saved.

The address type that you enter in the Ad field in Sickness Certs A infotype (0056) is stored in the Addresses infotype (0006) for the employee during the specified validity period.

Caution If you want to create a sickness certificate for a dependent, the following prerequisites must be filled:

Family/Related Person infotype (0021) exists for the primarily insured person in the specified validity period.

In Family/Related Person infotype(0021), the Entitled (Entries for sickness certificate) field contains the value 01 (Sickness certificate submitted) and the SI-Number (Entries for social insurance) field contains the dependent’s social insurance number.

The address types that you enter in the Ad field in Sickness Certs A infotype (0056) are stored in Addresses infotype (0006) for the employee.

Structure

In order to identify the individual family members, this infotype is divided into different subtypes. The following subtypes have been set up in the SAP standard system:

Subtype 0 Primarily insured person

Subtype 1 Insured spouse

Subtype 2 Insured child

Subtype 3 Insured legal guardian

Subtype 4 Insured testator

Subtype 5 Insured guardian

Subtype 6 Insured step-child

Integration

The system derives the personal data for the primarily insured (FamMember 0) from Personal Data infotype (0002) and Social Insurance A infotype (0044).

The system derives the default values for Dependents from Family/Related Person infotype (0021). If children are insured, the system also reads the child’s number from the infotype.
