Settlement Type 

Use

A settlement type classifies settlement account assignments and the payment system.

Features

There are two types of settlement, namely disbursements and reserves. A disbursement type and a reserve type can be assigned to a standard settlement rule. The reserve type is only assigned to remuneration types that carry liability.

A settlement type includes the following data:

·         Settlement type ID

·         Settlement type version (with period management include)

·         Settlement category: Business key - disbursement or reserve

·         Account assignment ID

·         Combination ID: The account assignment type is either given in the settlement type or determined generally using the combination ID. Determination is used when other commission-case-dependent criteria are needed apart from the settlement type to determine a unique account assignment.

·         Percentage rate (reserve): Percentage rate of settlement amount to be placed in cancellation reserve.

·         Maximum amount: Max. amount to be retained as a reserve. This is held in the commission model currency.

·         Threshold value: Value from which a cancellation reserve is calculated. No percentage of amounts under this threshold is placed in the reserves. For larger amounts, only the difference to the threshold value goes towards reserve determination (For example, excess earnings in the case of simultaneous guarantee agreement). This is held in the commission model currency.

·         Disbursement system ID

·         Payment lock reason: Reason for locking disbursement, for example "T" for unscheduled payment (such as cancellation reserves).

·         Responsibility for payment locks: This controls where payment locks can be lifted (in the commission system or in the disbursement system).

·         Special G/L indicator: This indicates that special G/L accounts are used (in the SAP environment).
