Maintaining Class Master Data
You can maintain the master data for international standard identification numbers (ISINs). In a securities account, you must select an ISIN for each securities position that you create. The ISIN is used as a reference to copy the class master data and relevant prices for the positions in a securities account.

The standard system provides a default implementation of the Business Add-In (BAdI) CMS_SEC_GET_ADD_DATA to create class master data. You can create your own implementation of this BAdI to enable automatic updation of class master data from an external system.
In the Implementation Guide (IMG), you must define securities classification types and assign them to existing sub-asset types.

1. In the SAP Easy Access screen, select Accounting ® Bank Applications ® Collateral Management ® Securities ® Maintaining Class Master Data.
2. Specify the following:
...
a. The ISIN and the corresponding name for which you want to maintain the class master data.
b. The classification type of the ISIN. Collateral Management uses the classification type to create sub-assets for the securities positions.

You define classification types in the IMG under Securities ® Basic Functions ® Define Security Classification Types. You must specify a sub-asset for each classification type.
c. Name of the financial institution that has issued the securities position.
d. The value method of the securities position, such as units and percent.
e. Stock exchange where the securities position is being traded.

A securities position can be traded in more than one stock exchange. If this is the case, you must maintain separate class master data for the different stock exchanges.
f. The country zone for the securities position. This information is required for regulatory and reporting and for rating purposes.
g. Fungibility or the interchangeability of the securities position.
h. Name and country of the trading index where the securities position is being traded.
i. Text description for the securities position.

You have maintained the class master data for an ISIN. You can now create securities positions for this ISIN.
