Procedure documentation GM-GTE Master Data Customizing: Sponsored Class/Sponsored Program Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

Sponsored classes are used to group expenses and revenues together by type of financial transaction to satisfy a sponsor’s reporting requirements. Sponsored programs group these sponsored class balances together by specific purposes, determined by the sponsor.

Authorization groups are used to group grants and other Grantee Management (GM-GTE) objects together for authorization purposes. You need to do this for sponsored classes and programs. You can also specify text descriptions (text IDs) for the classes/programs.

Procedure

...

       1.      To configure sponsored classes and programs, go to the GM-GTE part of the Implementation Guide and choose Sponsored Class/Program  ® Program/Class Authorization Groups.

The Change View: “Grants Management: Authorization Group Maintenance”: Overview screen appears.

       2.      Enter an identifier and descriptive text for the desired group(s).

       3.      Save your entries.

       4.      In addition, you need to enter text IDs for both sponsored programs and sponsored classes. To do this, choose the step Maintain Text ID for Sponsored Class/Program.

       5.      Choose New Entries and enter the object, a four-character ID, and a descriptive text of up to 30 characters for each new text ID.

       6.      Save your entries.

Result

You can now group objects together by entering the relevant class and/or program in their master data. You can also enter texts for them.
