GM-GTE Customizing: Cost Sharing 
Some sponsors require that grantees fund some of the cost of the project(s) being sponsored. To address this requirement, you need to enter rules that govern how grant-related costs are shared between the grantee organization and the sponsor.
To maintain the cost sharing rules, proceed as follows:

1. In the Grants Management – Grantee (GM-GTE) part of the Implementation Guide (IMG), choose Cost Sharing ® Configure Cost Sharing Rules.
The Change View “Cost Sharing Rule Maintenance”: Screen appears.
2. Choose New Entries and enter the following:
¡ Number for the new rule
¡ Text for the new rule
¡ Which cost sharing base is to apply
We deliver the following cost-sharing bases as standard:
§ Total direct costs
You are required to share in the direct costs for a project.
§ Total grant costs
You are required to share in the total costs, including indirect costs, for a project.
3. When you have finished, save your entries.
Cost sharing for the grant is now possible, using the rule and base specified.
