Transformation
You use this function to generate master recipes from general recipes. When you do so, you use the general recipe as a template only.
· You have made the necessary settings in Customizing for Master Recipes under Transformation of General Recipe to Master Recipe.
· Make sure that all the master data exists in the target system in which you want to create the master recipe:
¡ Material master
¡ Classes
¡ Properties
¡ Resources
¡ Resource classification
¡ Master inspection characteristics
¡ Inspection methods
¡ Process instruction category and process instruction characteristic
The system generates a master recipe from a general recipe. In doing so, the system transforms general recipe stages to master recipe operations, and general recipe operations to master recipe phases. General recipe actions and process parameters provide information for process instructions in the master recipe. Resource assignments are also determined here.

Resources
· The first equipment requirement in the general recipe stage provides information for the resource selection criteria in the master recipe operation. The classification of the equipment requirements of each general recipe stage is copied to the resource selection criteria of each relevant master recipe operation.
· Using the equipment requirements for the general recipe, the system can assign a primary resource to a master recipe operation or to the secondary resource of a master recipe operation or master recipe phase. One primary resource is allowed for each master recipe operation. The first equipment requirement in each general recipe stage determines the primary resource. The remaining equipment requirements in the general recipe stage determine the secondary resource for the master recipe operation.
· The equipment requirements for the general recipe operation determine the secondary resource in the master recipe phase.
· The system does not take the equipment requirements at general recipe and process action level into account in the transformation.
Bill of Materials
· The system generates the bill of material from the formula of the general recipe or from the formulas of the selected general recipe stages. If the formula is assigned to the process stage, the system aggregates the formulas of the selected stages. The bill of material is then generated from this aggregated formula.
· The system assigns the material components in the generated bill of material to the master recipe operations or phases. This depends on the formula components that were assigned to the stages or operations in the general recipe.
If the material components are not assigned to the general recipe operation, the system assigns them to the general recipe stage if the formula is stage-dependent. The material components are assigned to the relevant master recipe operations in the transformation.
· Input and output streams of the formula can be displayed in the BOM. The input or output streams are transformed to BOM items of the type intra material.

To be able to use this function, you have to define transformation groups beforehand in Customizing for the Transformation of General Recipe to Master Recipe.
Quality Management (QM)
· If the system assigns QM data to the stream, an additional phase is created in the master recipe operation. The QM data is copied to the inspection characteristics in the phase.
· Depending on the settings you made in Customizing for environment parameters in Quality Management, the system either uses the central system or the target system of the master inspection characteristics in the transformation.
· You can enter three rows of long text for the QM data in Recipe Management. If long text objects exist in the target system for master inspection characteristics, the system adds the QM data long texts for the general recipe to the existing long text. If no long text objects exist, the system creates a new long text object for the master inspection characteristics.
Process Instructions
· You can assign process parameters to the general recipe, the process stage, the process operation, the process action, and the equipment requirement.
· To transform process parameters to process instructions, you have to make sure that you have assigned the correct ABAP class to the object type PROCPARA in the transformation group. You do this in Customizing for Transformation of General Recipe to Master Recipe under Define Transformation Groups. SAP supplies the ABAP class CL_RMXM_ROM_PP with the standard system.
· Process parameters are transformed to the master recipe as follows:
Process Parameter Assigned to: |
Is Mapped to |
