Process documentation Ranking of Candidates By Responses to a Questionnaire Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

You can use this process to rank candidates by the responses they provided to questions in a specific questionnaire. The process includes questionnaires that were completed as part of Talent Relationship Management (TRM) or a requisition.

Questionnaires contain questions and possible responses. Ranking points are defined for each possible response. The candidate completing the questionnaire thus receives a certain number of points (or score) for each response. In the list of assigned candidates, the candidates are sorted according to the total score received for the questionnaire.

A questionnaire can also contain responses that are identified as expected responses. The candidate must submit these responses in order to qualify as being suitable for a job vacancy. The program checks whether candidates submitted the expected responses and identifies these candidates as suitable.

Prerequisites

You have generated a list of candidates.

In addition, you have either performed the process Structure linkDisplay of Assignments to Requisition/Application Group and received a list of candidates who are assigned to a selected requisition or an application group, or you have executed the Assignment to Talent Groups function and thus displayed the candidates who are assigned to a talent group.

You have sent questionnaires in which all possible responses are assigned ranking points and certain responses are identified as expected responses, if necessary. For more information, see Creating a Questionnaire.

The questionnaires can be made available as follows:

A process template containing one or more questionnaires is assigned to the requisition or application group. For example, candidates can complete these questionnaires using the application wizard (see also: Using Questionnaires in the Application Wizard).

You have sent one or more questionnaires to several candidates using the activities in the Structure linkQuestionnaire category.

You have used activities to send questionnaires to a manager to obtain information about candidates.

The candidates have either responded to the questionnaires themselves or you completed the questionnaire together with the candidate, for example, during a telephone interview.

Note

Ranking is only possible for Evaluable Information questionnaires. For more information about questionnaires, see Question and Questionnaire Management.

Process Flow

       1.      You select the ranking method Questionnaire.

       2.      You choose the Questionnaire List function (icon: binoculars).

       3.      The system displays the list with the possible questionnaires.

The system provides the following questionnaires:

Questionnaires that are assigned to the requisition through a process template

Questionnaires that were assigned to the candidates’ assignments to a requisition using activities

Select the Add Candidate-Based Questionnaire field if you also want to select a questionnaire from those that were completed by the candidates in TRM.

Note

Only questionnaires that were sent as part of TRM are allowed when candidates are assigned to a talent group.

       4.      You select the questionnaire according to which you want to rank the candidates.

       5.      The system switches back to the Assignmentsview.

       6.      You choose Display Selection.

       7.      The system calculates the scores resulting from the candidates’ responses to the questions in the selected questionnaire and checks whether candidates submitted expected responses.

The system shows the following columns in the list of candidates:

Total Score (contains the total number of points for the responses submitted by the candidate)

Percentage Result (percentage ratio of the score compared to the maximum score)

Suitability (indicates whether a candidate submitted expected responses)

Result

You have sorted the candidates by their responses to questions in a specific questionnaire. You can now decide which candidates are of more interest or less interest for the vacant job(s), based on their responses in the questionnaire.
