Post Change
This
function enables you to change posted waste quantities from Waste Management in
inventory
management in the SAP Materials
Managementcomponent.
· You have processed the IMG activity Set Inventory Management in Waste Management in Customizing for Waste Management and specified the required movement types.
·
In the
material master of the waste, you have entered the required data for the
organizational units (
plant and storage location,
for example) to which data is to be posted.
This means, you must
have created at least the General Plant Data / Storage 1 view
for the organizational units.
·
The entry documents
whose waste quantities are to be posted do not contain any storage bin
data (
warehouse number,
storage
type, or
storage
bin).
· You have posted the waste quantities to inventory management, in other words you have executed the post function for the entry documents.
You can change the following posted data:
·
You can
transfer the posted waste quantity between storage locations within a plant
and between storage locations in different plants (see
Transfer Posting: From
Plant to Plant).
· You can transfer the posted waste quantity between stock types.
Other
types of transfer postings (such as
material to
material or
valuation type to
valuation type) are not supported.

We recommend that you do not use this function to transfer a posting from a storage location that is not linked to Warehouse Management (Warehouse Management System) to a storage location that is linked to Warehouse Management, in other words that has been assigned a warehouse number there. Although this is possible, you would have to make extensive settings in Customizing for Warehouse Management, which are not delivered in standard Customizing.

If you have posted an entry document without storage bin data and you then want to post the waste quantity to a storage bin in Warehouse Management after all, cancel the material documents that were created from the entry document, add the storage bin data to the entry document, and then execute the post function again for the entry document.
A material document that documents the changed posting and a follow-on document record are created (see Automatic Creation of Follow-On Document Records).
When you change posted data, you can specify whether the start of the maximum storage period is to be updated (Upd. stor. strt indicator), for example if a maximum permitted storage period begins again as a result of stock being transferred. The system then adopts the current system date as the new start of the maximum storage period (see Monitoring of the Maximum Permitted Storage Period).
For more information about posted changes, see the Inventory Management documentation.
The entry documents are given a defined status that depends on the settings you made in Customizing. They must have a particular status so that you can execute this function. For more information, see Setting Entry Document Statuses.
Proceed as follows to change posted waste quantities in one or more entry documents:
...
1. Choose Disposal Processing ® Edit Entry Documents in the Waste Management menu.
The Choose Entry Document Category dialog box appears.

This dialog box only appears the first time you access disposal processing after you have logged on to the SAP System. The next time you access disposal processing, the system automatically uses the entry document category that you chose last time.
If you mainly display and edit entry documents of one entry document category, you can predefine this entry document category in your user profile.
2. Choose the entry document category of the posted entry documents that you want to change and confirm your entry.
The Disposal Processing Change screen appears.
3.
Enter the
search criteria for the entry documents and choose
with the
quick info Hit List.
The entry documents that correspond to the search criteria are displayed under Doc. overview.
4. Select the entry documents and choose Post change.
The Disposal Processing Change: Transfer Stock dialog box appears.
5. Enter the required data.
6. Choose Transfer and save the data.
The Disposal Processing Change screen appears. The data in the entry document has been updated.
