Changing or Displaying Formulas
This procedure describes how you display and change formula data. Depending on how you load the formula, you create a new change state when you edit the formula or change an existing change state for its entire validity period.

You can also display and change dependent formulas from within the recipe to which they belong (see also Formula Assignment).
If you want to save your changes in a new change state, you must have defined a change master record in which the valid-from date you want to use and the object types PVS Variant and Substance (specification) are active. You define the change master record, which is identified by a change number, in engineering change management.
...
1. Specify the key date or the change number with which you want to change the formula or display the formula data. By entering a new change number, you create a new change state whose valid-from date at the same time limits the validity period of the preceding change state.
2. Load the formulas you want to change or display and select them in the hit list or the navigation area by double-clicking them.
The formula master appears. The following change state is displayed:
○ If you entered a change number in the initial screen, the change state that was created using this change number
○ If you entered a key date in the initial screen, the change state that is valid on this key date

If you want to edit or display
several formulas from the hit list one after the other, you can copy them to
the navigation area. Select the formulas you require and choose
with the quick info text Copy. You can then display or edit the formulas that have been
copied by double-clicking them under
Formula.
You can show or hide the navigation
area as required. Choose
with
the quick info text Show/Hide Tree.
3. Choose the formula view whose data you want to display or edit and make changes as required. For more information, see the following:
○ Scope of Application for Formulas
○ Material Data and Substance Data
4. Enter value assignments in the detailed structure in the property tree of the formula if required. For more information, see Value Assignment.
5. If you have made any changes, save them.
