Use

TRM tracks all request changes throughout its lifecycle.

Activities

  1. LES submits requests based on reference documents, such as transfer orders and groups/waves, to TRM via Request Management.

Request items not associated with a wave are given the status of Available. Request items that are associated with a wave are given the status of Initial, until the wave is released, at which time they are given the status of Available.

  1. Request Management’s scheduler releases available requests and forwards them to Task Management.
  2. Task Management creates tasks based on the requests. Once the tasks are created, the request items are given the status of In Process.
  3. Resources confirm at the original source, as specified by the LES reference document, with the appropriate verification.
  4. Resources perform the tasks, provides the appropriate verification (if needed) and then confirm execution in the system.
  5. After each task is confirmed, Task Management sends confirmation of task completion to Request Management.

When a resource confirms a task, the relevant request item is given the status of Confirmed. When the final task is confirmed (at destination), the request items receive the status of Finished.

  1. After confirmation of each request item at its original source and destination, Request Management sends confirmation to LES.
  2. LES checks to see if the original document has been completed.
If the document has been completed, LES sends a purge instruction to TRM.
  3. TRM deletes all requests and tasks from the active tables and stores them in the log files.
  4. The log files can be archived after a user-defined time.
