Absences (Infotype 2001): Sickness
Leave
Absences are divided into absence types. Absence types are subtypes of infotype Absences (2001). The GB subtype of infotype 2001 relevant for Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) is 0200 (illness)
Use
You maintain subtype 0200 of infotype 2001 to set up SSP payments for an employee absent on sickness leave.
You enter the beginning and end dates of the sickness absence in the relevant infotype Absences (2001) subtype record. These beginning and end dates are entered in the Start and To fields, respectively. The SAP system then automatically calculates the absence hours, absence days and calendar days.

You must also maintain two additional GB-specific fields on infotype 2001 (subtype 0200):
· Notific. to Employer
Use this field the record the actual date an employee presents you with his or her Doctor's Certificate.
· Start Doctor’s Cert.
Use this field the record the start date of an employee's sickness as stated on his or her Doctor's Certificate.
Additionally, two pushbuttons are also provided on the subtype 0200 screen:
Provides you with an overview of an employee’s remaining entitlements (in weeks) to both Statutory (SxP) and Occupational Absence (OxP) payments.
Using this option, you can display a condensed absence history for an employee, including information on:
Integration
To calculate SSP for an employee, infotype 2001 is read during the payroll run in conjunction with the following infotypes:
· Payroll Status (0003)
