Validity Area for System Status Obsolete 

Use

If the status of a recipe is set to obsolete, before the recipe is valid (that is, the valid-from date of the recipe is in the future), the system sets the valid-to date to the same as the valid-from date. Although these recipes were never valid, they are identified by this one day of validity.

You use this function to check which recipes with the status obsolete were actually productive. All recipes that were only valid on one day were therefore unproductive.
