Use

Use this infotype to record information on the different Stock Option Schemes, under which an employee holds company stocks.

In the SAP System, the Stock Option Schemes are associated with their equivalent Stock Option Plans. These plans are as specified by the tax authorities. You associate the different Stock Option Schemes  with their relevant Stock Option Plans in the Maintain Plan Scheme Assignment table view (V_T5RSOP_PL_SCH). The system displays these schemes as subtypes of the Stock Option (Singapore)infotype (0739).

In this infotype, you can maintain information such as the:

·        Grant Price of the stocks

·        Total number of stocks granted to the employee

·        Number of stocks exercised or vested by the employee

·        Price at which, the employee exercised or vested the stocks

·        Date on which, the employee exercised or vested the stocks

·        Employment details of the employee. You can specify if the employee was working in Singapore at the time of grant of stocks.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

The Stock Options (Singapore) infotype (0739) also displays the Accounting Year of the exercised or vested stocks. This is the year in which the exercised or vested stock options were reported for taxation. The system generates this information, when you process the Structure linkSingapore Income Tax IR8A report (RPCT8AR0).

Integration

Singapore Income Tax IR8A Report (RPCT8AR0) - When processed, this report checks the Stock Option (Singapore) infotype (0739) for the existence of exercised or vested stock options. If an employee has exercised or vested stock options in the current financial year, the report generates the Appendix 8B of the Form IR8A.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

If you have used a wage type to maintain information on employee stock options, the report will not generate the Appendix 8B. This is irrespective of whether an infotype record exists for the employee or not.

The report will instead, display the total gains from stock options, under section d8 of the Form IR8A. Even if the wage type is maintained for only one payroll period in the entire financial year, the report will only generate the Form IR8A.
