Alternative Hierarchies in Summarization 

You can use different views to evaluate the summarized data, depending on the database profile.Note the following when working with views in summarization:

●     In the view Characteristic Hierarchy from Classification, the hierarchy is set up by reconstructing the summarization. Before accessing the report with this view, you must choose Tools ® Summarizationin the information system menu.

●     You can set up the summarization without data. To do this, choose Tools ® Summarization ® Hierarchy.Restrict the scope of your data to the totals records table (FMSUA) by deactivating the No sum indicator. When setting up the hierarchy, choose fiscal year 9999.
When you access this view, the system reads the summarization hierarchy and sorts the selected objects accordingly.

●     You can improve system performance in the attribute hierarchy from classification with a flat object list by breaking summarization down only as far as a particular level. The system then sets up the project hierarchy as far as this level only.
