Automatic Partner Assignment
This function automatically assigns the waste management business partners involved to a waste approval.
A waste management business partner is generally only automatically assigned to a waste approval if it has not already been assigned.
The addresses of the assigned waste management business partners are determined and displayed as follows:
...
1. If an address has been entered in the master data for the waste management business partner, this address is used and displayed.
2. If an integration object, but not an address, has been entered in the master data for the waste management business partner, the address of this integration object is used and displayed provided that an address has been entered for the integration object.

Data that you enter elsewhere for a waste management business partner after this partner has been assigned manually or automatically to a waste approval is not read during the assignment and is therefore not taken into account. This means that if you later enter an authority-assigned number or an address, for example, for a waste management business partner, it is not read during partner assignment. If you want data that has been entered later to be taken into account, you must delete the existing partner assignment and reassign the waste management business partner to the waste approval after you have entered the required data.
When you create a waste approval, the system automatically assigns waste management business partners as follows:
· The system assigns the waste management business partner that you used to access this screen, in other words the one specified on the first tab page.
· If you selected a disposal channel before you chose the Waste approval tab page, in other words if you enter a waste approval for this disposal channel, the waste management business partner (waste generator or waste disposer) specified in this channel is also assigned.
· If the system cannot determine a transregional authority-assigned number for an assigned waste management business partner, it attempts to determine a transregional authority-assigned number from the data for a higher-level waste management business partner. If possible, the system uses this number for the waste management business partner assigned and also automatically assigns the higher-level waste management business partner to the waste approval. For more information about how the transregional authority-assigned number is determined, see the documentation for the IMG activity Specify Validity Areas.
When you assign a disposal channel to an existing waste approval, the waste management business partner (waste generator or waste disposer) is automatically assigned from the disposal channel as described.
If the system cannot determine a transregional authority-assigned number for the assigned waste management business partner, it attempts to determine a transregional authority-assigned number from the data for a higher-level waste management business partner. If possible, the system uses this number for the waste management business partner assigned and also automatically assigns the higher-level waste management business partner to the waste approval.
If you manually assign a waste management business partner to an existing waste approval and the system cannot determine a transregional authority-assigned number for this partner, it attempts to determine a transregional authority-assigned number from the data for a higher-level waste management business partner. If possible, the system uses this number for the waste management business partner assigned and also automatically assigns the higher-level waste management business partner to the waste approval.
