Determining Data to be Displayed
In order to evaluate and display jobs with the Job Commander, you must first select the data to be displayed.
...
1. Choose one of the following paths:
¡
Role
Mass Processing Administration (SAP_FI_CA_MASS_PROCESS_ADMINIS) ® Background Processing
Control: Process Chains, Job Containers
¡
SAP
menu
Mass Processing Administration ® Background Processing
Control
2.
Then, from the
Job Container Overview screen, choose Program ® Job Commander.
The Set Filter screen appears.
3. Enter a job group and a job name. You can search for the job name generically with *. Correct the execution date where appropriate and choose job type.
4. Choose the status: Specify which status the jobs to be displayed should show.
5. Choose Continue to start the selection. By clicking on Cancel, you can interrupt the function and return to the previous screen. You can set a new filter whenever you want by clicking Edit ® Set Filter.
This takes you to the Job Commander main window where the results of your query appear. The following values are displayed:
¡ Job name Name of the job that was/is to be executed
¡ Date Date of the (planned) execution of the job
¡ Start (Planned) start time of the job
¡ End End of the job provided it does not have the status scheduled
¡ Job Type Type of job in the long text
¡ Status The long text of the result or the job status
You can sort the data in the individual columns, either in ascending or descending order. Select the desired column and choose Process ® Sort Ascending/Descending. There is a symbol in front of the job name in each line that allows you to recognize the status of a job. You can display the key for the symbols by using the info button in the application toolbar. The Exclude Standard SAP Jobs indicator ensures that jobs that run in the background as standard are excluded. A large number of these jobs can be represented in the live system. You can deselect this indicator by specifying ST as the job type and/or System as the job group. If you choose standard jobs to, for example, view the jobs you started yourself, enter a user name and/or a job name, as the read accesses will otherwise take a long time. If you do not set the Exclude Standard SAP Jobs indicator and do not set any restrictions with regard to job name or user, you will be explicitly asked to restrict your selection in a dialog box. You can close this online window without specifying further restrictions. However, this will lead to a longer response time. For more information, see Working with the Job Commander.
