Yard Scheduling Chart 

Use

The yard scheduling chart is a tool that provides you with a graphical representation of scheduling activities in a yard for location classes defined in the scheduling profile, and assists you in maintaining these scheduling activities.

Using the yard scheduling chart, you can do the following:

·        Manually create scheduling activities

·        Modify the duration, start and end times, location and status for scheduling activities

·        Cancel scheduling activities

·        View scheduling activity details

 

Prerequisites

You have defined the following:

·        General yard settings in Customizing for Logistics Execution ® Yard Management ® General Settings ® Define Yard

·         A scheduling profile in Customizing for Logistics Execution ®Yard Management ® Location Scheduling and Determination  ® Define Scheduling Profiles

The yard scheduling chart provides a number of features, including the following:

Graphical Representation of Scheduling Activities

The yard scheduling chart utilizes graphical objects to represent scheduling activities. The objects’ attributes, such as length and color, represent different attributes of the scheduling activities, such as duration and status.

Scheduling activities can be created by simply dragging in the graph display area. You can change scheduling activities by moving the corresponding objects in a horizontal or vertical direction.

Customizable User Interface

The yard scheduling chart provides you with the tools with which you can customize many aspects of the chart display, including the columns to be displayed, object texts and colors, and links between related objects.
