Editing Label Data in the Material Master 

Use

The Label Data view in the material master allows you to edit and display all the data relevant to a material in Global Label Management in one place.

Prerequisites

You have edited the following IMG activities in Customizing for Global Label Management:

·        Specify Label Categories

·        Specify Label Sizes

·        Set Up Label Data Entry in Material Master

·        Specify Packaging Units

Procedure

...

       1.      In the Product Safety menu, choose Global Label Management ® Label Data in Material Master ®Change (or Create).

The Change Material (Initial Screen) appears.

       2.      Enter a material number and confirm your entry.

       3.      Select the Label Data view in the view selection and confirm your selection.

       4.      Choose the Label Data tab page.

The Change Material (Label Data) or Create Material (Label Data) screen appears.

       5.      Enter the necessary data under General Data.

       6.      Enter the labeling specification under Labeling Specification, as follows:

...

                            a.      Choose a packaging unit on the Configuration tab page by double-clicking in the input help.

                            b.      If you want to enter a labeling specification for more packaging units, confirm your choice.

Another line is ready for input.

                            c.      Repeat the last two steps for more packaging units if required.

                            d.      Select the packaging units.

                            e.      Choose  with the quick info text Activate.

Tab pages appear for the selected packaging units.

                              f.      Enter the necessary data on the tab pages and save your entries. You can assign validity areas to the data for the individual packaging units line by line. Select the line and choose Valid. Areas.

If you do not enter any data on a tab page for a packaging unit, this tab page will not be displayed the next time the Label Data view is called.
