Use

You can plan the years that are likely to be needed to realize a project or order either before or after you plan overall cost.

Note

The procedure refers to projects. It also applies for orders however. We are dealing with overall planning. On the initial screen, select an order or order group.

Planning Annual Values for a WBS Element

  1. On the Change Cost Planning: Initial Screen, call up the project that you want to plan in the Project Def. Field. You can also call up an individual element in the WBS element field.

  3. Select the planning element for which you want to plan the annual values.
  4. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Annual Overview. The Change Cost Planning: Annual Overview screen appears, which contains the overall planning values (if available) for the selected planning element and fields in which you can enter the annual values.
  5. Enter your annual planning value for the selected planning element.

Planning Annual Values for all WBS Elements

Instead of specifying the annual values for a particular planning element using the annual overview, you can also plan on all the planning elements for a particular year.

  1. Carry out steps 1 and 2, as described above. The Change Cost Planning: WBS Element Overview screen appears. It shows the project with its WBS elements in the start year.
  2. In the Cost Planning column (Plan for internal orders), enter the values for the individual WBS elements. If you do not want to start planning at the start year, choose the period using the Period list field, or using Goto ® Period ® Period...
  3. If you want to execute planning for the following year, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text and Next Year.

You can use This graphic is explained in the accompanying text and Next Year, or This graphic is explained in the accompanying text and Previous Year, to choose the following or previous year for planning.

The system displays the element overview with the planning element fields (ready for entry) for the selected period of time.

  1. Continue with steps 7 and 8 (and so on).
