The Create Specification: Header screen appears.

       4.      Enter the required data on the Specification header tab page.

Note

In the Specification type field, you can only choose agent types.

       5.      Change to the Identifiers tab page and enter the descriptions for the agent here. For more information on entering identifiers, see Structure linkIdentification in the specification management (EHS-BD-SPE) component.

       6.      On the Referencestab page, enter any references to existing agents and save your entries.

Background documentation

By creating references, you can significantly reduce time and effort when entering agent properties (such as physical-chemical data).

The SAP system then creates references from existing properties to corresponding properties of the new agent. You can adapt the data acquired in this manner, but the data in the “data provider” remains unchanged. For more information on the functions and prerequisites, see Structure linkReferences in the specification management (EHS-BD-SPE) component.

Result

You have created a specification that can be used as an agent in the Industrial Hygiene and Safety (EHS-IHS) and Occupational Health (EHS-HEA) components. In the property tree for this agent, which appears in the detailed structure of the workbench, you can then enter the properties for the agent, such as:

     Physical-chemical properties

     Environment and safety data

     Reference values
