Prerequisites

·        You have created and released a report template.

·        You have defined a generation variant and assigned it to a report template with reference to a specification.

Procedure

...

       1.      In the specification management hit list, select all specifications for which you want to create a report request for a generation variant and a key date (see Structure linkSpecification Search).

       2.      In the hit list, choose Specification ® Reports ® Create Report.

The Create Reports dialog box appears.

       3.      Enter the generation variant, one of the required report languages, and the key date.

       4.      Depending on the language in which you want to create the report, proceed as follows:

¡        If you want to create the report in the language you already entered, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info text Create Report.

¡        If you want to create the report in all languages defined in the generation variant, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text With Languages from Gen.Var.

¡        If you want to create the report in other languages, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Select with Languages and choose the languages in the dialog box that appears.

Result

The system creates the report requests for all specifications you have selected. You can display any messages that occurred by choosing the Log function in the Create Reports dialog box.

Depending on the Structure linkgeneration variant indicators, the system generates the report or you must run the generation manually in the worklist (see Editing Worklists for Reports). The report then has the Initial release status you defined in the header for the generation variant.

The report is then edited further in the report management worklist.
