Background documentation Report Status Network Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

The report status network is structured as follows:

...

       1.      Status before and during generation:

The status Start of work (SW) is followed by the status Report request (RR). During generation, the report has status Generation possible (GP). If the generation fails (status GF), or a system error (SE) occurs, the SAP system terminates generation.

Note

For reports in status GF or SE, you can restart generation.

       2.      Status after generation:

After a report has been successfully generated, it has the status Generation successful (GS). The SAP system then resets the report to the initial status you defined in the generation variant header.

Note

The report has the status Generated with warning (GW) if:

·         Not all phrase symbols are available in the required language when the report is generated

·         A position frame is too small for the text despite dynamic text sizing

You can still edit the report further.

       3.      Release statuses:

During the release process, the report passes through different control points. For example, the report must be released in turn by a chemist (status R1 or “CH”), a lawyer (status R2 or “LA”), and another person of your choice (status XY).

       4.      Versioning statuses:

After the report has been released for the last time, it has the status Completed (CO) and can now have a version assigned.

       5.      Statuses of released reports:

Reports with status Released (RE) are ready for report shipping. Released reports can be set to status Historical (HI).
