Assignment Activation Details

In this infotype, you store all the necessary information with regard to currency fluctuation protection and the processing of the various category groups (the global employee’s salary components) on a country-specific basis.
This infotype enables you to protect the global employee’s compensation package against the risks of inflation by means of a strong currency on the one hand and, on the other hand, to specify in which country you wish to pay social security, taxes or other components, whereafter the selected category groups are processed on a country-specific basis upon activation.
The infotype is split into two sections described below:
· Currency Fluctuator Details
· Compensation Category Details
In this section, you can:
· Activate the currency fluctuator. If so, and if the activation date has been set, you are not allowed to change the compensation package items with a date prior or equal to the activation on the one hand and, on the other hand, the stable currency and the corresponding percentage.
· Specify the percentage of the salary that is paid in the strong currency you have selected.
In this section, you can select the relevant category groups for further processing.
If you select a category and the applicable activation, the relevant infotype group will be executed upon activation (82/83).
You must have maintained the following infotypes by means of the relevant personnel action:
· Global Assignment Details (0710)
· Global Assignment Status (0715)

Suppose a global employee's base salary CPI is paid in Argentinian pesos. You may decide to pay 30% in pesos and convert 70% to USD, whereafter both amounts are copied to their respective wage types.
