Define Templates for Data Screens
For the construction progress report and valuation you use MS Excel for the input and output screen. The structure of the data screens (input and output screens) is defined in the templates. You can adjust the structure to suit your customer-specific requirements. To be able to use templates, you must store them in the Business Document Service. In Customizing assign the templates to the appropriate transactions for the Construction Progress Report and Remaining Plan, for example, define which template is used for which controlling area.
Sample templates are delivered as input and output screens for the construction progress report and remaining plan. You can edit these templates to suit your requirements. You can find the sample templates in the Business Document Service.

Sample templates are not intended for live implementation and are not maintained by SAP.
If you want to use sample template you must do the following:
· Install Microsoft Excel 2000
· Define the following cost element groups under Define Cost Elements for Work Values and Planning Data:
1 Main
contract
2 Hourly wage
3 From third party
4 Invoice deduction
5 Planned revenues
6 Planned costs
...
1. You store documents that you want to use as templates in the SAP system database using the Business Document Navigator (BDN).
The BDN is available centrally via menu path Office ® Business Documents ® Documents ® Search (transaction OAOR). It can also be reached via the administration menu for Business Documents: Tools ® Business Documents ® Miscellaneous ® Business Documents (Transaction OAER).
2. In Customizing for Project System under Revenues and Earnings ® Automatic and Periodic Allocations ® Construction Progress Report and Valuation ® Assign Templates (BDS Documents) for Construction Progress Report, define the template for the construction progress reports that are to be used for communication with the SAP System. In doing so you assign each a BDS document to the combination of controlling area and project profile.
If you use the sample templates, enter the following data for the BDS document:
