COBRA Payments (Infotype 0270) 

Definition

This infotype stores details of the payments a COBRA participant has made for COBRA. For every payment made, one record is created.

You access this infotype from the COBRA Payments tool and enter payment information directly.

Structure

Data is grouped as follows on the infotype screen:

Personal Data

Basic information about the qualified beneficiary is displayed in this section. For employees, this information is derived from the personal data, for dependents it is derived from the Family/Related Person infotype (0021).

Payment Data

This section stores the payment date, amount paid, and payment method (for example, check). If a beneficiary mails a check for COBRA payment, the payment date is the postmark on the envelope in which the check was mailed.
