You can plan dates for individual WBS elements as soon as you have entered the outline dates for your project in the project definition. In rough-cut planning, you specify dates for WBS elements that are binding for more detailed planning. You can then use this rough-cut plan as the basis for more detailed planning or scheduling using networks ( see Network Scheduling). You can use several functions in date planning, to compare, reconcile, or calculate dates at a later point in time.

• Create, change, or display basic dates for WBS elements.
• Create, change, or display forecast dates for WBS elements.
• Create, change, or display actual dates for WBS elements
• Display confirmations for the work breakdown structure
• Copy actual dates from confirmations to WBS elements (as provisional start or finish dates)

Furthermore you can carry WBS scheduling , in which you schedule a project or sub-hierarchy with all its assigned activities.
