Printing Correspondence
During the correspondence print run, the system determines the correspondence data stored in the correspondence container (correspondence request) in the context of correspondence generation and transfers it to the print program created using the Print Workbench.
You can select what correspondence is to be created in the correspondence print run according to correspondence type, creation date, company code or product type.
For more information see Correspondence Tool in Loans Management.
The necessary correspondence data is stored in the correspondence request.
In the Identification of Correspondence Print Run section, enter the following data:
· Date ID of Print Run
This field identifies the correspondence print run. If you do not make an entry, the system automatically enters the current date.
· Identification of Print Run
This field is used to differentiate between program runs with the same execution date. This is a custom field.
In the Selection Parameters for Correspondence Request you must select a correspondence type.

You can define new correspondence types in the IMG activity Define Correspondence Types.
In the Date ID field you enter the date on which the correspondence request was created. You can limit the selection further by specifying one or more company code(s) or product type(s) as selection parameters.
In the Print Parameters group frame, enter the requirements for printing correspondence.
· Print Parameters Defined
The system automatically sets this indicator if you have selected the print parameters by choosing Goto ® Print Parameters and confirmed them with Enter.
· New Spool ID for Every Package
If you set this indicator the system creates a separate spool request for every package.
· Execute Actual Print / Test Print / Repeat Print
The standard settings in the system permit the Actual Print and the Test Print. If you want to execute the Repeat Print for some or all of the correspondence types then you need to modify the print control for every correspondence type in the IMG activity Define Correspondence Types.
You have the following options for printing correspondence: In the menu choose Program ®
· Execute
The program is carried out immediately online.
With a large amount
of correspondence this can have a negative effect on system
performance. The system displays the log.
· Execute and Print
The system executes the program online and prints the corresponding log simultaneously.
· Execute in Background
Use this type of execution for large amounts of
correspondence since this considerably improves system
performance. You can have the system output the log in the log
display if necessary. See also
Application Log
(BC-SRV-BAL).
1. Choose Position Management ® Periodic Processing ® Mass Print Run with Correspondence Tool ®Execute.
2. Enter your selection parameters and, if appropriate, your print parameters and choose Execute. The system outputs the application log.
